When to use it

  • You play the daily every day. One bookmark drops you straight into today's mystery footballer — no menu.
  • You want it on your home screen. Save the URL as a phone shortcut; tapping the icon goes straight to today's Scout.
  • You want to compare with friends. Everyone gets the same target — share the link and race to identify them first.

There's nothing to configure — one URL, always today's Daily Scout (always Standard difficulty). Click Bookmark or Copy:

Behavior

  • On page load the hash is read once and cleared via history.replaceState — refreshing doesn't re-trigger the start, and the back button stays clean.
  • The Daily Scout always runs on Standard difficulty — the difficulty and status params (see New Scout) are ignored here.
  • If you have an unfinished session for today's Scout, it resumes that one instead of starting over.
  • Guests can play; their results are stored against an anonymous user and aren't ranked.
